The trip back home was uneventful except for one instance at the HK airport again. Our boarding passes were issued for Manila-HK-Vancouver for Cathay Pacific. We were told that we should get boarding passes for Vancouver to Victoria in HK.
So upon arrival at HK, I went to the Air Canada counter. The clerk kept insisting that I should go to the Cathay counter. What frustrated me was she was not even reading the e-ticket nor listening to my explanation. Thankfully, her supervisor was there.
We had lunch at the airport. Food was good.
The plane ride was a lot better than the one going to Manila. It was actually ahead of schedule. The food was also good.
Upon arrival at the Vancouver airport, I was impressed witih the use of technology to process returning residents. Everything is automated. You only get to see the immigration officer if there are questions on your document.
The Victoria trip was uneventful. We needed a van to hold our baggages. The house was intact. Thank God for sending his angels to protect it.
