May 15: St. isidore and Trinoma Mall

I went to mass yesterday and it was the feast day of St. Isidore the Farmer. The priest spoke of how Isidore was able to attend mass every day despite the fact that he was working also. The priest also thought it was very strange that people could not spend even an hour a week to give to the Lord.

This is sad but true. I think there is a need to allocate not only 1 hour a week but some time every day to pray. Holiness is an everyday decision. We make that decision every waking moment of our lives. We may fail and we will fail. But the important thing is we know that God is there to pick us up.

I watched a video of Jim Caviezel while he was promoting the movie the Passion of the Christ few years ago. Since he starred in the Passion of the Christ, I have liked him. I knew he was a devout Catholic but hearing him speak about the Lord and his commitment to the Lord made me admire him more. I strongly suggest you watch the video. His message of God's mercy and love is powerful. Thank God for him.

I had been looking at the Philippine economy and it looks like it is continuing to grow. I just hope that the person who will be the president will continue the programs that PNoy has started. There is a confidence in the people that I had not seen before.

Trinoma Foodcourt
We went to Trinoma also and one thing I noticed is that the traffic is not bad. They say the reason is that it is summer vacation. But looking at EDSA in Monumento, I see that the sidewalk vendors are gone. Likewise in Balintawak. This is a welcome change. Finally, someone had the political will to clean up the streets.

We went to Trinoma and walked around. Had some merienda of Pancit Luglog and HaloHalo. One of the best Pancit Luglog I have tried and the best Halohalo I have ever tasted. Because of my pre-diabetic condition, I am sensitive to sweets. My tongue gets weird when I taste sweet. This did not happen to me when I tried the Halohalo. This means that the ingredients are probably natural ingredients.

Halohalo and Pancit Luglog
Their Pancit Luglog was very tasty. Considering that it was a simple dish, it was tasty. The sauce was tasty and you can actually taste the chicharon.

Came back home and went to bed early - around 8pm.
